Step 1: Set a pencil shape, while emphasizing too much detail.


Step 2: Use the tone of the paper as a reference for the other colors'.
For areas fully exposed white tempera is used (very transparent)
For areas in full shade and shadow are used in the shade 'in
reference to the color of the paper

Tempera must be very diluted, so 'you can easily erase any mistakes.
To get the nuances in color spend a point and then, with the damp brush to go over the color to fade the border area.
